Indosat Leads with NVIDIA's GPU Computing: Pioneering Indonesia Generative AI's

Indosat Leads with NVIDIA's GPU Computing: Pioneering Indonesia Generative AI's IOH x NVIDIA: Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) group announced on Tuesday that it was ready to integrate the NVIDIA Blackwell platform into its infrastructure, with the goal of propelling Indonesia into a new era of sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) and technological advancement.

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH; also Indosat) announced on March 21 it was ready to integrate Nvidia’s Blackwell GPU architecture into its infrastructure to propel Indonesia into a brand-new era of sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) and technological advancement.

With Blackwell’s transformative technologies at its disposal, Indosat is poised to unleash a wave of innovation that will help redefine the potentials of AI cloud services in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Ronnie Vasishta, Senior Vice President for Telecom at Nvidia, stated: “Sovereign AI is increasingly becoming top of mind for nations seeking to turbocharge innovation and increase productivity. With the integration of Nvidia’s Blackwell into its infrastructure, Indosat is empowering its business ecosystem and laying the groundwork for Indonesia to assert itself as a global AI leader. Indosat plans to leverage Blackwell Tensor Cores to deliver a massive speedup to inference workloads, making real-time performance possible for resource-intensive, multitrillion-parameter language models. The Tensor Cores, which includes Nvidia BlueField-3 DPUs, will also enable cloud network acceleration, composable storage, zero trust security and GPU compute elasticity in hyperscale AI clouds.

The Tensor Cores are also available on Nvidia DGX Cloud, a serverless, AI supercomputing service that gives enterprises immediate access to the infrastructure and software they need to train advanced generative AI models.

Indosat first announced its strategic relationship with Nvidia at Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2024 in late February.
