In Jakarta, Infor SVP solution consulting Phil Lewis spoke to The Jakarta Post’s Ruth Dea Juwita and Mark Lempp about the challenges of introducing new technology, including managing corporate change and overcoming adoption barriers like data sovereignty concerns.
Question: Infor is currently hosting events across Southeast Asia, including here in Jakarta. What is the message you are bringing to business leaders?
Answer: Our message is about unlocking value through industry-specific technology. Infor is not a generic software provider, we build multi-tenant cloud solutions tailored for specific industries like industrial manufacturing, automotive, food and beverage and logistics. It is not just “food and beverage”, it is understanding the unique processes of [for example] a bakery versus a dairy producer.
The reason we are here is to introduce our Velocity Suite, a package designed to help companies overcome the three biggest barriers to adopting advanced tech: not knowing where to start, navigating a complex technology landscape and lacking in-house data science skills.
