inance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa expects Danantara to remit Rp 120 trillion (US$6.76 billion) in dividends from state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to the state budget this year, marking a change from the initial plan for running the state asset fund.
The minister unveiled the sum on Friday and said it had been discussed and agreed on with Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani and President Prabowo Subianto.
“It has been discussed, it has been ascertained. All that’s left to decide is when to transfer it; around Rp 120 trillion. That’s what the President decided,” Purbaya was quoted as saying by Kompas.com.
Danantara chief operating officer Dony Oskaria declined to comment when reporters tried to confirm the sum after a coordination meeting with Purbaya, Bank Indonesia and lawmakers at the Senayan Legislative Complex in Central Jakarta on Monday.
In 2024, the year before Danantara was established last year, SOEs transferred Rp 86.4 trillion in dividends to the state.
After the state asset fund launched its operations last year, the dividends went to Danatara as the SOE holding structure rather than to the state budget, and Danatara managed the money for expansion and reinvestment.
That setup lasted throughout 2025 and was supposed to remain in place, until the government changed its stance earlier this month.
