Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Endra Zulpan said the person responsible for the threat had been identified.

A bomb threat was reported at a concert held on Friday by South Korean boy band NCT 127 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD center in Serpong, South Tangerang.

A post spread on social media containing a picture of a handwritten note that read, "ICE BSD Nov. 4 S.O.S. 11 people 3 cars [with explosives] TNT, TATP”.

“The threat came from a social media account. We have checked and profiled the related social media account. Investigators from the research and criminal units of the South Tangerang Police have carried out the investigative steps,” Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Endra Zulpan told Detik on Friday.

The investigators have not yet concluded whether the threat was serious or a hoax.

“The most important thing is that the concert venue is safe and there weren’t any suspicious items found,” Endra said.

Endra added that the police would question the person who posted the threat on social media.

The Greater Jakarta Police said they had swept the concert venue and that explosive-sniffing dogs and the Jakarta Police bomb squad had been deployed to the location.

“There were no items related to bombs or explosive materials found,” Endra said.
