ost Indonesian families are familiar with the Keluarga Cemara story in all its artistic forms for the family values and safe entertainment it provides for the whole family.
Keluarga Cemara received its latest update over the school holiday season in the form of a musical titled Pertunjukan Panggung Musikal Keluarga Cemara.
The two-hour musical was inspired by the heartfelt story written by the late journalist and author Arswendo Atmowiloto (1948-2019). Initially serialized in the teen magazine Hai in the early 1990s, Keluarga Cemara immediately captivated the hearts of readers, leading to its adaptation into a novel and a favorite TV series between 1996 and 2002.
In 2019, Visinema Studios revived Keluarga Cemara with a feature film that attracted over two million viewers. Its 2022 sequel continued the story, demonstrating the enduring appeal of Keluarga Cemara across generations.
Also released in 2022 was Keluarga Cemara the Series, a web serial.
An evergreen IP
