PT Mowilex Indonesia has won the 2023 Best Managed Companies in Indonesia award from Deloitte for the second consecutive year.

The announcement came on July 27, during the awards ceremony at Grand Hyatt Jakarta.

Awards distributed by Deloitte are generally given to private companies through an independent evaluation, utilizing a framework that applies to 1,300 Best Managed Companies worldwide. Assessments explore strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment, as well as governance and financials. In this case, Mowilex gained recognition for industry leadership, management quality and economic success.

Furthermore, the paint company successfully distinguished itself with its sustainability efforts, including four consecutive carbon neutral certifications, major solar investments and the recent planting of 50,000 trees that will protect coastline and capture carbon.

Earlier this year, the company reached a new sustainability milestone, as it opened a new factory designed to reduce carbon emissions by up to 7 percent. The green building features innovative technologies and a zero-waste water treatment system that cleans and repurposes all water used in the production process.

Safavi attributed the company’s success to Mowilex’s flat management structure, which encourages risk-taking guided by sound analysis, along with its investments to improve skills and technology and pursuit of excellence in governance, as well as its stance on sustainability practices. Aside from its position on environmental issues, it was also praised for an exceptional organizational approach.
