fter a series of selection stages and a Demo Day, Astranauts 2024 officially announced on June 7 the nine winners who innovated in strengthening the digital and technology ecosystem in Indonesia at Catur Dharma Hall in Astra Tower in Jakarta.

Initiated by Astra, Astranauts is a competition meant to spur sustainable economic development through technology and has been an ongoing project since 2022.

Additionally the event aims to strengthen the digital ecosystem of Indonesia, which is in line with Astra’s goals of aligning with Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The awardees come from the start-up and student paths, as well as the business challenge category.

The Demo Day and awards event for Astranauts 2024 was attended by Astra’s directors, the judges for the competition, and the participant mentors of the 2024 Astranauts.

The competition also partnered with key tech industry leaders Angel Investment Network Indonesia (ANGIN), BLOCK71 Indonesia, Endeavor, Google for Startups, Habibie Innovators by Hi Incubator, Impact Hub, Kumpul.ID, Lestari, Plug and Play, Geralyn National 1000 Startup Digital, SISTEM, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Indonesia x Data Labs, Salesforce Inc, DailySocial.id, Tech In Asia Indonesia, SARI Technology and Rekosistem.

“Astranauts 2024 invites start-up initiators and students to showcase their best solutions, which can benefit society through the latest technology. Astra believes that the young generation can make meaningful and sustainable contributions to Indonesia.” said Astra director Santosa while reading the speech of Astra president director Djony Bunarto Tjondro.

For this year’s iteration, the event carried the theme of “Technology Innovation for Today and The Future of Indonesia” and put forward eight main topics in its competition: Smart Automotive & Manufacturing, Smart Financial Services, Smart Mining & Energy, Smart Agriculture, Smart Mobility & Logistics, Smart Infrastructure & Property, Smart Technology and Smart Healthcare, with the addition of a new category this year, Business Challenge.

This year, Astranauts 2024 saw a 10 percent increase in registrants compared to the previous year, reaching 2,400 participants from across Indonesia. Nineteen finalists presented their work before the jury, having their creations scored using various evaluation criteria, resulting in the selection of nine winners across the three categories of Astranauts 2024.

For the start-up path, the first-place winners were FishGo, AKAR as the runner up and 3DPint.ID coming in third. As for the student path, MooApps secured first place, with INCLUDE Technology as the runner up and KOMIB.id placing third. Lastly, for the Business Challenge winners, AssetFindr placed first, with Mine-Eye Gama as the runner up and S.2.R.E securing third place.

The winners received monetary prizes that amounted to around Rp 350 million, the chance to collaborate with Astra Group, an exclusive mentorship from industry experts and leaders and the opportunity to meet and pitch their ideas to various venture capital firms that officially partnered with the Astranauts 2024 competition.
