The Indonesian cosmetics industry is projected to continue to grow rapidly in line with the massive development of e-commerce in the country. Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita explained that the cosmetics industry grew by 43.11 percent in the 2020-2023 period, adding that the sector contributed 6.8 percent to the gross domestic product (GDP) of the processing sector industry, following the food sector at 17.2 percent.

Krista Exhibition CEO Daud D Salim noted that in line with the domestic beauty industry’s continued development, Indo Beauty Expo 2024 has also experienced an increase in the number of participants of around 30 percent compared to the previous year.

"Krista Exhibitions is optimistic that this exhibition can encourage the development of the domestic cosmetics industry so that it can compete in the global market, as well as provide insights for entrepreneurs in the beauty sector on the latest technological innovations and products for women, men, children and even toddlers," he said, adding that 12,000 visitors are expected to attend the three-day event.

The exhibition is also supported by the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry, the Trade Ministry, the Industry Ministry, the Cosmetic Companies Association (PPAK), the Indonesian Health Supplement Entrepreneurs Association (APSKI) and the Indonesian Retailers Association (APRINDO).

Indo Beauty Expo 2024 will feature a range of products and equipment in the field of beauty and health, including skincare, makeup, perfume, haircare, spa and wellness clinics as well as product packaging and equipment.
