Kenji Ramen opens new outlet in Canggu with elevated concept

Japanese ramen and hospitality brand Kenji Ramen has opened its third location in Padang Linjong, Canggu, Bali.

The new outlet, opened on Nov. 29, 2024, was part of Kenji Ramen’s ambitious plan to establish more outlets across Bali in 2025.

“This expansion aligns with the brand’s mission to create memorable dining experiences while contributing to Bali’s post-pandemic economic growth,” Kenji Ramen said in a statement.

It said that by offering more job opportunities and strengthening connections with the local community, Kenji aimed to become a sustainable restaurant chain known for its exceptional food, welcoming atmosphere and commitment to hospitality.

The newly opened outlet in Padang Linjong has a sleek look and feel, representing a complete rebranding and the introduction of an izakaya concept.

“Apart from its signature ramen, the menu now features expertly grilled yakitori skewers, creating an elevated dining experience,” Kenji Ramen said.

Guests can enjoy the thoughtfully designed space that combines traditional tatami-style indoor seating with a cozy outdoor area, making it perfect for locals and tourists alike.

One of the highlights of the new Kenji is its hidden cocktail bar, located on the upper floor.

Specializing in highball cocktails that pair seamlessly with the rich flavors of the menu, the bar offers an intimate and stylish setting for cocktail enthusiasts.

Reflecting Kenji's passion for community and creativity, the restaurant’s soundtrack features curated mixes of hip-hop, R&B and soul, enhancing its vibrant and inviting ambiance.

“We designed this space to bring the essence of Japanese hospitality to Bali, blending authentic culinary artistry with a modern, elevated touch,” said cofounder Punang Adipradana.

Kenji Ramen Canggu is now open daily from 11:00 a.m. until midnight.
