Mekar Investama Teknologi innovates to empower employees

P

T Mekar Investama Teknologi, a licensed fintech lending platform dedicated to supporting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) excluded from traditional bank loans, is making strides in expanding its reach and amplifying its social impact in productive sectors.

This achievement has earned Mekar Investama the title of The Most Innovative P2P Lending Platform in Indonesia at the International Finance 2024 Awards. The recognition, to be presented in Bangkok on Feb. 21, 2025, underscores the fintech company’s commitment to inclusive and impactful financial solutions.

Pandu Aditya K., President Director of Mekar Investama, highlighted the company’s mission to redefine productive finance by extending its focus beyond working capital financing.

“By partnering with various funding distribution networks, we are empowering the individual segment, especially employees, with financial literacy and tailored financing options,” Pandu said in a press release on Jan. 30, 2025.

Mekar Investama’s loan offerings include longer terms and lower costs, enabling employees to increase their productivity. Employees can leverage these facilities for funding purposes such as education, emergency expenses or high-interest debt consolidation.

The company has also widened its reach to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to complement its traditional focus on micro and ultramicro businesses. This shift aims to support job creation and economic growth.

In 2024, Mekar Investama took significant steps to bolster Indonesia’s agriculture sector by establishing collaborative ecosystem partnerships. Through this initiative, it provided funding to more than 20,000 farmers in West and Central Java, introducing a safer and more effective financing model.

Since its founding, Mekar Investama has disbursed over Rp 1.5 trillion (US$92 million) in total funds, with an outstanding loan portfolio of Rp 530 billion. This achievement reflects the fintech company’s mission to drive financial inclusion and enhance productivity across diverse population segments.

With its innovation-focused approach, Mekar Investama Teknologi continues to cement its role as a transformative force in Indonesia’s fintech ecosystem.
