ngka realisasi kepatuhan pajak di Indonesia tetap stabil, di tengah kecemasan para ahli tentang dampak pemberitaan yang meluas terkait kasus putra seorang pejabat tinggi pajak yang pamer harta di media sosial. Kestabilan dibuktikan dengan jumlah wajib pajak orang pribadi yang telah menyerahkan SPT mereka sebelum tenggat waktu 31 Maret.

Data dari portal berita pajak DDTC News, jumlah wajib pajak orang pribadi yang telah melaporkan bukti pemotongan pajak mereka mencapai 66,7 persen pada hari akhir batas penyampaian SPT 31 Maret 2023. Angka tersebut hampir tidak berubah dari 66 persen yang tercatat pada tahun lalu.

Tabloid Kontan edisi Minggu melaporkan juga bahwa jumlah laporan dari wajib pajak perorangan yang bukan karyawan merosot menjadi 26,84 persen, dari 45, 53 persen tahun lalu.

Bhima Yudhistira, Direktur Center of Economics and Law Studies (CELIOS) di Jakarta, mengatakan kepada The Jakarta Post bahwa turunnya jumlah pelapor pajak mungkin dipengaruhi oleh kasus-kasus terkini, yang berbuntut pada penyelidikan pihak berwajib terhadap petugas pajak senior.

“Penyampaian SPT orang pribadi, terutama yang bukan pegawai, tentu tergantung pada seberapa besar kepercayaan mereka terhadap kantor pajak,” kata Bhima pada Senin (10 April).

Bhima menambahkan bahwa pemerintah harus menyelesaikan kasus petugas pajak untuk merebut lagi kepercayaan para wajib pajak. Penyelesaian berlarut-larut hanya akan semakin mengurangi kepatuhan mereka, baik terkait tenggat waktu penyampaian SPT maupun pelaporan semua penghasilan kena pajak.
