The first debate among Indonesia's presidential candidates at the General Elections Commission (KPU) office will center on law, human rights, governance, corruption, democracy and tolerance.
The debate is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. and will run for about 150 minutes, including 30 minutes of commercial breaks.
The first segment will see the candidates present their vision and mission, as well as their planned programs. This will be followed by the actual debate, where each candidate will have to draw one of the questions prepared by a panel of 11 experts, according to Kompas.com.
Each candidate will be given two minutes to respond to the question they picked. Afterward, the remaining two candidates will have one minute each to provide their responses. Finally, the first candidate will have an extra minute to address the responses from the other two candidates.
