nline supermarket Sukamart will cease operations on June 27. “We would like to announce to our customers that we will stop individual service operations at sukamart.com and brand.sukamart.com on June 27,” the company wrote on its website.
Sukamart operates three websites, namely sukamart.com, brand.sukamart.com and office.sukamart.com. Kompas.com reports the company will only continue the operations of the latter, “Our company will continue to operate, and corporate customers will still be able to place orders via office.sukamart.com as usual.”
The company stated that it had shifted its focus to corporate customers via office.sukamart.com. Sukamart has also shifted company control to MonotaRO, a Japanese e-commerce platform focused on industrial goods.
Aside from closing down the website, Sukamart will also stop services on its mobile platforms, both iOS and Android. Customers are encouraged to uninstall the apps after June 27. Those with credits within the app can receive refunds by emailing cs@sukamart.com. (asw)
