The country lost a legendary actress and comedian when Laila Sari passed away on Monday evening at the age of 82.
Maya Sari, Laila’s adopted daughter, told kompas.com that, prior to her death, her mother had just returned home from filming a comedy show for a local TV station.
“She went to the bathroom and suddenly lost her consciousness,” Maya said. “She couldn’t breathe, and I was under shock at the time.”
