Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta
Holiday festivities at Four Seasons Jakarta start early in December, for instance with the Aperitivo Hour on Saturday nights on the 8th and 22nd at Alto Restaurant & Bar. The bar will serve signature Italian aperitifs with a view of Jakarta’s skyline as the backdrop, and beats from in-house DJ. Alto will also host a Christmas Eve dinner ideal for celebrations with close friends and family.
Among the courses of the Christmas Eve menu are truffle arancino, roasted Christmas turkey tortellini and mushroom consommé and Canadian lobster and Champagne risotto. True to its Italian identity, Alto offers panettone, almond and orange gelato and coffee Frangelico zabaglione as a sweet epilogue to the dinner.

The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place
This hotel’s Christmas feast takes place at Pasola restaurant, where a hearty buffet of international and Indonesian delicacies will be served. The menu includes beef tenderloin wellington, cider brined roast turkey with bread stuffing and cranberry sauce, seafood ice bar with crayfish, prawns and scallops, Christmas pudding and Yule Log.
The first of the festivities is the Christmas Eve dinner, where a choir will present live entertainment. Christmas brunch follows the next day, when Santa Claus will show up and kids can enjoy a number of activities.

Mandarin Oriental Jakarta
Lyon, one of the most renowned French restaurants in town, is offering a festive set menu from Dec. 1-23, featuring the likes of roast turkey served with trimmings including homemade cranberry sauce, foie gras de canard and Christmas pudding.
On the eve of Christmas, a six-course dinner menu will be available, followed by brunch on Christmas day, where guests are welcome to enjoy as many dishes as they desire from the a la carte menu in addition to the buffet offerings for a fixed price.

Grand Hyatt Jakarta
Among the largest and most elegant Christmas trees in town, the ones in Grand Hyatt Jakarta are a must-see. The brightly lit trees are placed on the sides of a life-size gingerbread house, making an attractive photo op.
Those feasting on Christmas Eve dinner buffet at the Grand Café or four-course set menu at C’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant will be entertained by strolling carolers, while the jolly man in red will be walking around to spread holiday cheer and secret giveaways especially for the kids.

Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta
If you have a soft spot for snow globes, the Shangri-La wonderland is the destination for you. Christmas afternoon tea is available in its lobby lounge from Dec. 1 to Jan. 1, with a gigantic snow globe as the background.
Meanwhile, the Christmas dining series will take place at Satoo buffet restaurant and Rosso Italian restaurant on Dec. 24-25. The former’s festive creations include roast whole turkey with chestnut stuffing, cranberry sauce and giblet gravy, beef wellington, roasted beef prime rib and various classic holiday desserts.
