The Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) is among the largest K-pop awards events in Asia.
arion Jola, one of the Indonesian Idol season 9 finalists, won Best New Asian Artist Indonesia at the 2018 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), held Monday at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul, South Korea.
The singer expressed her happiness on her Instagram account, “Here’s for a dream hard work and love. I love you all! Been MAMA fans since 2013 and now being able to hold the trophy, Best New Asian Artist Indonesia, super happy and grateful.”
According to kompas.com, Marion also performed her duet with Rayi Putra “Jangan” (Don’t) at the event.
Also performing at the event were K-pop idols Wanna One, Haon, Stray Kids and Kim Dong Han.

MAMA is among the largest K-pop awards events in Asia. Prior to Marion, other Indonesian singers, including Agnez Mo, Raisa and Isyana, had also received awards from MAMA.
This year, MAMA is hosting three award events held in South Korea, Japan and Hong Kong. (jes/kes)
