Christmas is just around the corner, meaning it’s time to re-watch the all-time favorite holiday movie, Home Alone.

Fans of the movie may rejoice as Macaulay Culkin has reprised his role as Kevin McCallister in Google Home’s latest advertisement.

Released on Wednesday, CBS reported that the ad, titled "Home Alone Again with the Google Assistant", showed grown-up Kevin waking up alone at home.

He then asks Google what’s on his calendar. “You have one event called House to Yourself,” says the virtual assistant.

The ad goes on to shows how Kevin goes about his usual activities with help from his Google Assistant, such as setting a reminder to change the sheets and speaking to a pizza delivery man at the front door, telling him, “Keep the change, you filthy animal”.

And let’s not forget about the burglars. If in the film the 8-year-old Kevin works really hard to protect his house from a pair of burglars, now he only needs to ask the virtual assistant to turn on “Operation Kevin”.

Evoking nostalgia, the ad quickly went viral and has been shared by Home Alone fans across social media. (jes/kes)
