Beyond its family-friendly activities and selfie-worthy spots, interactive art exhibition “Future Park” invites us to ponder the human impact on the environment.
As families step into a darkened room, the children are invited to color a sea creature of their choosing with the provided crayons.
After their pictures have been scanned, the children witness their creations become reality. The sharks, squid and turtles they colored are swimming in the simulated aquarium on the walls.
Touching the animals will make them swim away, but you can also touch a designated spot to feed them, which will make them converge on that area.
It is Sketch Aquarium, one of five interactive art installations showcased in the “teamLab Future Park and Animals of Flowers, Symbiotic Lives” exhibition, which occupies a 2,000-square-meter space inside Gandaria City mall, South Jakarta. The exhibition runs from June 20 to Dec. 20.
Guests will be able to partake in the digital installations, split into eight 90-minute sessions per day with weekday tickets priced at Rp 150,000 (US$10.47) and Rp 175,000 on weekends and holidays.
