Kimi fully supports the government's intentions to safeguard online content so that "the industry will grow in a healthy way".
ndonesian gaming YouTuber Kimi Hime is set to meet Communications and Information Minister Rudiantara later this week at the request of the ministry.
Kimi's chief lawyer Irfan Akhyari said on Monday that his client had been waiting for the "right moment" to respond to the request and she had decided to meet Rudiantara this week.
Irfan further said, as reported by Antara news agency, that Kimi fully supported the government's intentions to safeguard online content so that "the industry will grow in a healthy way".
The ministry previously warned the 29-year-old content creator, whose real name is Kimberly Khloe, that it would take down "vulgar" content on her YouTube channel. Last Monday, the ministry invited the social media figure via email and Instagram direct message for a discussion.

"We have requested Kimi Hime to come to our office. If she does not come soon, we will take down her content that we deem vulgar,” acting head of the ministry's public relations bureau, Ferdinand Setu, said.
He added that the move was taken after receiving reports from the public and from the House of Representatives.
Following the removal of some of her content by YouTube, Kimi pleaded with President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo in a video published on Wednesday, saying, "If the government deletes my videos on the vague basis of its own assumptions and opinions, then it’s a form of injustice".
On YouTube, Kimi records herself playing multiplayer online role-playing games such as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or Mobile Legends, often while wearing revealing clothes. The videos are then uploaded to her social media accounts.
Currently, her YouTube and Instagram accounts have racked up over 2.29 million subscribers and 1.3 million followers, respectively. Her Facebook fan page @KimberlyHime has amassed at least 911,000 followers. (vny/kes)
