Starring Ario Bayu, Hannah Al Rashid and Yayu Unru, Ratu Ilmu Hitam follows a family of five. The trailer opens with Hanif, the main character, who takes his wife and children to the orphanage where he grew up.

He visits the orphanage and meets the manager Pak Bandi, who is currently sick. Hanif is also reunited with his old friends Anton (Tanta Ginting) and Jefri (Miller Khan). At night, they start to experience various terrors.
Kimo said in a statement that the film would be relevant to the current situation, adding that it would also feature santet (a black magic spell) and its variants.
The original film Ratu Ilmu Hitam was released in 1981. Starring Suzanna, it has been praised as one of the best Indonesian horror films.
The new version of Ratu Ilmu Hitam will be released on Nov. 7. (jes/kes)
