Hoobastank, Secondhand Serenade set to perform at Jakarta festival in July

Amid the postponement of music concerts and festivals due to the coronavirus outbreak, especially in Asia, a 2000s-focused music event is set to bring American rock bands Hoobastank and Secondhand Serenade to Jakarta.

mid the postponement of music concerts and festivals due to the coronavirus outbreak, especially in Asia, a 2000s-focused music event is set to bring American rock bands Hoobastank and Secondhand Serenade to Jakarta.

Slated for July 25 at Gambir Expo Kemayoran in North Jakarta, Everblast Festival also announced its lineup of Indonesian performers on social media on Monday, which include Glenn Fredly, J-Rocks ft. Prisa, Andra and the Backbone, Letto and Efek Rumah Kaca.

Organized by Akselerasi Entertainment, which also held The 90's Festival, presale tickets will go on sale March 5 with starting prices set at Rp 450,000 (US$32).

The worrying outbreak has led many organizers to cancel  shows and events over the past few weeks, with the most recent one in Indonesia being entertainment company 88rising, which on Monday night announced its postponement of Head in the Clouds Jakarta slated to take place in Jakarta on Saturday. The decision was made following President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's announcement on Monday afternoon of the first two confirmed cases of Indonesians contracting the novel coronavirus. (kes)
