Known for its pioneering fusion music, Hotel San Vicente is Transs’ sole album. It was released in 1981 and consisted of 11 songs.
Prior to its release in digital format, the album was only available on vinyl and was considered a rare collector's item. It was included on Rolling Stone Indonesia's list of the 150 greatest Indonesian albums of all time in 2007.

In 2008, Hotel San Vicente was reissued on vinyl by the Jakarta label Groovy Records.
Along with Fariz, Transs' members were Erwin Gutawa on bass, Uce Haryono on drums, Jundi Karjadi and Eddy Harris on keyboards, Hafil Perdanakusumah on flute and vocals, Wibi AK on percussion, Dhandung SS on vocals and Wiwiek Lismani on backing vocals. Some members went on to become acclaimed musicians, such as Erwin, who became a well-known composer and orchestra conductor.
In February, Fariz announced that his first two albums, 1979's Selangkah Ke Seberang and the 1980's Sakura, had become available on streaming services such as Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music. (gis/wng)
