The online bazaar Big Bad Wolf (BBW) is back until June 30 on its official store on e-commerce platform Tokopedia.
Compared to its first edition, the online book sale in this second edition will feature more international books and a faster customer service with discounts of up to 90 percent, with an additional 5 percent discount for customers of Bank Central Asia (BCA). Free delivery to all provinces in Indonesia is also available.
Those who need help with their orders can contact the official store’s administrators from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Big Bad Wolf Indonesia president director Uli Silalahi said the company appreciated its collaboration with Tokopedia to bring the book sale back online. “This initiative is aligned with our mission to improve Indonesians’ access to books and increase their reading interests,” Uli said in a statement.
Big Bad Wolf’s first online book sale, which was held from April 27 to May 3, was well received by the public with the most popular categories being children’s books, novels and hobby books. Customers came from all parts of the country, including North Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara and Papua as the farthest areas.
Tokopedia’s assistant vice president of business Jessica Stephanie Jap said that, “Through this collaboration, we hope that people from Sabang [in Aceh] to Merauke [in Papua] can get easier access to books and use technology to improve literacy and education in general,” Jessica said.
Big Bad Wolf was launched in 2009 in Malaysia prior to its debut in Jakarta in May 2016. It is recognized as one of the largest book sales in the country, offering books from various genres, from children’s books and politics to fiction and arts. (wir/wng)
