mid the pandemic, coffee by the liter and Korean dishes have been the most popular food and beverage (F&B) products purchased on e-commerce site Tokopedia.

According to a statement, coffee by the liter from local businesses such as Tuku, Anomali and Dua Coffee, and Korean foods such as tteokbokki and jajangmyeon, were among the most sought-after products during the company's special F&B campaign held since the beginning of the pandemic, with three- to fivefold increases in daily orders.

"Tokopedia Nyam aims to ease the public in purchasing affordable F&B products without leaving their homes, as well as helping local businesses, especially small and medium ones, survive amid the pandemic," said Tokopedia external communications senior lead Ekhel Chandra Wijaya in the statement.

As people have also been eating more at home, the number of ready-to-cook food sellers has also increased over threefold, according to Tokopedia.

"The number of transactions of ready-to-cook foods has also grown significantly, by more than threefold compared with the same period prior to the pandemic," said Ekhel. (gis/kes)
