Indonesian singer Agnez Mo has been nominated at the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards in the category of Best Southeast Asia Act.

Alongside Agnez, other Southeast Asian talents that have been nominated in the category are Ben&Ben from the Philippines, Benjamin Kheng from Singapore, Jack from Vietnam, K-Clique from Malaysia and Violette Wautier from Thailand.
Agnez was nominated in the same category in 2014. She did not win.

The MTV Europe Music Awards are presented annually by Viacom International Media Networks to honor artists and music in pop culture all around the world. It was originally created as an alternative to the MTV Video Music Awards, which are awarded annually in the United States.

This year, Lady Gaga secured the most nominations with seven. South Korean group BTS and Canadian singer Justin Bieber followed with five nominations each, while BLACKPINK received three nominations.
BTS was nominated in the Best Song, Best Pop, Best Group, Biggest Fan and Best Virtual Live categories.
This year’s event will be presented on Nov. 8, but there has not been any announcement on the event venue. Voting is open until Nov. 2. (gis/wng)
