The song is Mocca’s fourth single released in 2020.
“Every time Mocca works on an album, we always involve our closest friends. We have known Rekti for a long time and there is this song that we think fits him,” guitarist Riko Prayitno said in a press release.
The two sides recorded their sessions for the single separately to avoid possible COVID-19 transmission. The band members and Rekti recorded their parts at home, except for drummer Indra Massad who recorded at the studio.
In addition to contributing vocals and guitar, Rekti also helped to produce the song. Lead vocalist Arina Ephipania also features as a guitarist.

The song speaks about not giving up in the face of hard times, as there is always hope in the end. “Don’t give up the fight, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel,” the band said.
The single is available on digital music platforms starting Friday.
Consisting of Arina, Riko, bass player Toma Pratama and Indra, Mocca was founded in 1997 by Arina and Riko who met during their studies at the National Technology Institute (ITENAS) in Bandung.
They gained recognition with their first album My Diary in 2002 via Fast Forward Records. The group showcases an elaborate repertoire of styles in their music with influences of swing, bossa nova, jazz and a hint of twee. (gis/wng)
