Day by Day was recorded at the band members’ homes because of the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in place. The nine songs were written optimism and hopefulness in mind to improve their fans’ morale during this trying time.

The new album also features several collaborations with musicians like Akbari “Bane” Hakin of Rosemary on trumpet, while Rekti Yoewono of The S.I.G.I.T and Mooner appear on the single “There’s a Light at the End of the Tunnel”, which was released in early October.

Mocca also plans to release a Japanese version of “All the Way” for their fans in  Japan, Taiwan and South Korea.

Formed originally in Bandung, West Java, Mocca is now based in Jakarta and consists of Arina Ephipania (vocals, ukulele), Riko Prayitno (guitar, bass, backing vocals), Toma Pratama (bass, backing vocals) and Indra Massad (drums, backing vocals). The band gained recognition in 2002 with their debut album, My Diary (Fast Forward Records), showcasing an elaborate range of musical styles with swing, bossa nova and jazz influences, and a hint of twee. (gis/wng)
