JP/J. ADIGUNA

JAKARTA: Actress and activist Rieke Diah Pitaloka has said she is well and truly ready to have her baby, which is due in the middle of March.

I’m so ready for that. … I keep practicing doing the contractions,” she said, laughing.

What’s more, Rieke’s campaign activities for the legislative election, in which she is running as a candidate, were actually helping her out with this.

“In the middle of my campaigning, when I shout out loud, I practice my contractions at the same time,” said the 35-year-old actress.

Rieke said the doctors expected she would give birth to her baby boy within the next three weeks.

“But I hope my son won’t be like Oneng,” Rieke laughed, referring to her innocent and rather dim character on the TV comedy Bajaj Bajuri. —JP
