AKARTA: A formal alliance between the Democratic Party (PD) and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) is near completion with an official declaration due to be announced later this week, a senior PKS executive said Tuesday.
"The agreement *to form an alliance* will be declared either on May 10 or 11, after KPU (the General Elections Commission)'s finalized announcement," Sjarief Hasan said, as quoted by kompas.com.
According to PKS chairman Tifatul Sembiring, the two parties have agreed several points for future political cooperation.
