oncerning the news which published by your respected daily on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, entitled "Iran hangs two men in wake of election unrest", with this letter the Press & Media Section of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Jakarta would like to make an official clarification concerning the said news.
The two men by the name of Arash Rahmani Pour and Mohammad Reza Zamani were members of terrorist group called "Alliance of Iranian Monarchy/Empire" or "Tondar".
This terrorist group since 2008 has been conducting terrorist activities in Iran. Hence, correlating the said issue with the outgrowth of unrest presidential election in Iran, which was published by The Jakarta Post on the said date, was not true and unfounded.
