ATARAM, West Nusa Tenggara: An Italian climber fell to his death late Monday while on an expedition on Mount Rinjani in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
NTB Police spokesman, Adj. Comr. Lalu Wirajaya said that Federica Protora, 28, had been climbing the mountain Sunday morning with her friend, French Guillaumce Antoniolo, 30, along with a porter and a guide.
“They had reached Segara Anak Lake. The accident happened when they were about to return. The victim slipped down a cliff,” he said.
The body of the victim was taken to Bhayangkara Hospital Tuesday. The police, he said, were coordinating with the victim’s family to return the body to her home. — JP
