KARTA: The Jakarta Police have reported that a house in Tanah Sereal, Tambora, West Jakarta, was burgled on Thursday night while the owner was out of town for the Idul Fitri holidays.

The police report said that the robber stole 8 kilograms of gold jewelry and a diamond.

The house’s owner, Riki Setiawan, reported the theft to the police after returning home on Friday, only to see that one of his house windows had been smashed.

Police officers at the crime scene suspected that the robber had known how to get into the house, and that the owner kept precious jewelry there.

The case is still under investigation by the Tambora Police.
