T

he Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) has made a slight change in its organizational structure by appointing spokesman Ricky Soebagdja as its new national training camp division head, replacing Christian Hadinata who has been appointed an expert member of staff for education and training.

According to a press release on Thursday, Ricky is to be replaced by former shuttler Yuni Kartika, who
frequently appears as a commentator on a number of TV stations during major badminton events.

'With my new position, I will collaborate more with my former partner Rexy Mainaky, who is PBSI head of development and achievement division,' Ricky said in the statement, adding that the decisions were results of the PBSI plenary meeting last month.

Ricky and Rexy were Indonesia's top men's doubles players, having won dozens of international titles, including at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia; the 1995 World Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland; and back to back All England Championships in 1995 and 1996.
