inger Alena Wu is a seasoned performer in international competitions. With her undeniably silky voice, Alena won the Grand Champion title in Malaysia's Asia Bagus singing competition in 2000 and a Gold Medal at the Choir Olympics in Linz, Austria, along with the vocal group Elfa's Singers in the same year.

The singer of Mandarin pop shares some of her favorite books.

Stomping Out Fear by Neil T. Anderson, Dave Park and Rich Miller

Stomping Out Fear is a Christian book that I found accidentally in a church. Of the many books in the church, I ended up taking this one, which turned out to help with several issues in my life.

Actually, I'm an introverted girl, despite being a performer. I often got nervous, losing my confidence when I was on stage to perform ' I even got anxiety attacks. But my love for singing, somehow, overcame my problem, and nobody knew about it.

This book features motivational words on anxiety and worry, which are complemented with verses from the Bible. I read those verses everyday and they heal me. This book is like a cure for my past issues.

Living Health by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond

This book is about food and healthy living. It has also changed my life significantly. You see, back when I was younger I used to get sick easily. In 2005, I had to have knee surgery, so I couldn't do much except rest. Getting bored, I chose to read Living Health, and in no time I finished the thick book.

Afterward, I became a better person my daily habits, from eating and drinking well to choosing the best cosmetics. When I'm out of the home, I will carefully pick my meals.

Gratefully, I'm now very healthy. My allergies are gone. I used to get acne, especially on my back. Now, it only comes rarely when I don't eat well.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

Many would agree that Rich Dad, Poor Dad is like a bible for financial matters. It helps me manage my own financial decisions and teaches me about making investments. This book has showed me how to invest in mutual funds and property. My parents have been teaching me to save money since I was a kid, but Kiyosaki has led me to be more focused on saving. This book also taught me how to calculate inflation. In these uncertain economic times, it's certainly worth reading.
