Social media consultant Merry Magdalena uses gadgets from a variety of major brands to support her in catering to client needs and getting her work done.

Merry, the chief executive officer of social media consultancy firm politwika.com, has at least four different gadgets from top brands, such as Samsung and Apple.

The number of gadgets that Merry uses is not for showing off but rather each of them performs a different function.

'€œI choose gadgets based on their functionality. For safety reasons, I choose to go for big brands so I can easily find a service center if I have trouble,'€ she said.

'€œI am not a very tech savvy person. I do not want to waste time fixing my own gadgets because I want to use them for work,'€

MacBook Air

The MacBook Air is suitable for office work or for meetings with clients and investors. It is light and tough. It has never had an error, has never been hit by a virus, has a solid body frame and has a user-friendly interface. However, I do not take the MacBook Air outside often because even though it is light, I still think it is not mobile enough.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4

On my tablet, I install numerous social media applications. I also use it for receiving updates from news portals, email correspondence, to find references from Google and to write down ideas for clients while I am on the go.

iPhone 5s

I use the iPhone to back up all of the data from my other gadgets. The iPhone has a very long battery life and like the MacBook Air, it has never had any errors and has never been hit by a virus. Additionally, it has a very good camera to take pictures of documents. It feels like you have your own scanner on your hands.

Blackberry Q10

I use the Blackberry for chatting, whether via Whatsapp or Blackberry Messenger. I'€™ve been told that Blackberry is the safest device for chatting, it is very difficult to hack into.

Apps

I use Blackberry Blend. It can transfer all of our communication records to our personal computers. This includes emails, messenger chats, file manager and text messages. This app helps me a lot to follow up discussions with my clients and my teammates in a centralized computer. I do not need to be bothered with cables anymore. All I need is a Wi-Fi connection.
