Singer-actress Maudy Ayunda will voice a character in an animated film, the Battle of Surabaya, after winning online votes.
'Maudy will join the other actors as she won the most votes on Facebook,' director Aryanto Yuniawan said as quoted by kapanlagi.com.
Maudy will voice Yumna, a girl who delivers confidential letters to Indonesian soldiers.
Maudy, 20, said she was excited to be part of the film.
'After visiting the production house in Yogyakarta and seeing the trailer, I knew I had to support this film,' said Maudy, who starred in the 2012's Perahu Kertas (Paper Boat).
Besides Maudy, Citra-winning actor Reza Rahadian, Tanaka Hidetoshi and Ernanta Kusuma also have roles in the film.
