T Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia has broken ground on the development of its 'mega distribution center' near the company's production facilities in Pandaan, East Java.
Coca-Cola Amatil president director Kadir Gunduz said the development of the distribution center was aimed at increasing the company's sales capacity.
'The development is meant to accelerate the company's business growth. Surabaya Pandaan is one of the key locations for the Indonesian business to reach out to the eastern part of Indonesia,' Kadir said when giving a speech during the ground-breaking event on Thursday, as quoted by Kontan.co.id.
The distribution center, which is a large warehouse and production facility to serve the company's production and distribution chain, is expected to be built within one year. It will have the capacity to store 1.4 million crates per day and produce 1 billion pre-formed bottles per year.
