Singer-songwriter Melly Goeslaw has been appointed a judge on a children'€™s talent scouting TV program.

The film soundtrack specialist was concerned about the song choices of the contestants.

'€œThe contestants will sing adult songs, because currently there are no popular children'€™s songs. However, the lyrics will be age appropriate.

'€œWith regard to singing techniques, there is no difference between children and adults. Even when the children sing adult songs, the lyrics will be adjusted,'€ she said as reported by kapanlagi.com on Thursday.

Melly, married to fellow musician Anto Hoed with whom she formed pop rock band Potret, shared her enthusiasm about becoming a part of the TV talent scouting program, La Academia Junior 2 Indonesia.

Such programs, she said, would help hone children'€™s music skills. '€œThis kind of program allows us to meet many people with different skills and backgrounds,'€ said Melly.
