Indonesia has a highly fragmented budget accommodation market compared to its neighboring countries, according to RedDoorz CEO and founder Amit Saberwal.

'€œThere are many small properties, guesthouses and informal accommodation options [in Indonesia],'€ Saberwal told thejakartapost.com recently.

Owing to the profile of tourists in Indonesia, there's an enormous demand for quality budget accommodation, especially from the domestic market which recorded over 251 million trips in 2014, Saberwal said.

'€œI think this is RedDoorz'€™s value proposition, something that not only standardizes services, but also helps budget hotel owners utilize online booking platforms as well as manage their digital presence across multiple digital platforms,'€ he added.

Said to be Southeast Asia's first asset-light budget accommodation brand, RedDoorz recently announced its focus on Indonesia by introducing a service to help standardize online promotion of accommodation with a service guarantee.

The company provides budget accommodation owners access to advice and assistance to standardize their deals and directly promote themselves online via the RedDoorz technology platform. Its service is currently available across Southeast Asia's business and tourist destinations including Singapore, Thailand, Jakarta, Bali and Kuala Lumpur.

Launched in Indonesia two months ago, RedDoorz has since brought over 100 properties on board. (kes)(+)
