uala Lumpur-based AirAsia has sent eight young soccer talents from Asia to London to experience the sport through the eyes of Queens Park Rangers (QPR), a club in the Championship, England’s second-tier league.

The eight boys, aged 14 to 17, were shortlisted in the AirAsia-QPR Coaching Clinic, an annual event organized by AirAsia and QPR Community, the airline said in a statement.

The boys are Mohammad Alif Amzar Mohd Hisham and Kengo Lee from Malaysia, Parin Bunyalakha and Sathit Sisophakiri from Thailand, Li Te from China as well as Ahludz Dzikri Fikri, Hamsa Medari Lestaluhu and Muhammad Alfiqri from Indonesia.

In London, the boys are enjoying a weeklong event of intensive training with the club that will end on Sunday with a friendly match against an invited team.

Besides participating in the world-class training sessions, the boys have also tasted QPR’s home stadium Loftus Road and met the club’s main players and manager.

AirAsia is the official sponsor of QPR.
