he child-friendly integrated public space (RPTRA) Citra Permata in Rawa Bunga, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, is now equipped with a counseling room.
There will be three counselors: a nutritionist, a psychologist and a general practitioner, ready to serve residents of the neighborhood.
“We have set up the counseling room so that the public could have consultations for free. The consultations could be about health, mental health or nutrition,” said Rawa Bunga subdistrict head Agustina as quoted by beritajakarta.com on Friday.
Adult and child victims of human trafficking and domestic abuse will be able to make reports with the counselors, who will forward the reports to be legally processed at the East Jakarta Police’s child and women protection unit.
The counseling room will open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
“We deliberately open the counseling room on the afternoon because usually the residents have activities from morning until noon,” Agustina said.
