ransjakarta bus operator PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) plans to sell meat at some stops in addition to other basic commodities it has been selling since the start of Ramadhan, an executive said on Tuesday.
"We are thinking of how we could sell fresh meat without installing freezers [at the stops]," Transjakarta president director Budi Kaliwono said as quoted by kompas.com.
According to Budi, the company plans to sell good quality meat at affordable prices as part of its program to sell basic commodities during the holy month, ongoing since May 26.
Fifty stops have already sold more than 5,000 food packages, with sugar, oil, flour and rice among the best-selling commodities. The program runs daily from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.(hol/dmr)
