angdut singer Ridho Rhoma has expressed remorse for using drugs, for which he has been sentenced to 10 months in prison.

“I want to apologize to my family, colleagues and everyone for my wrongdoing,” Ridho said after his sentencing by the West Jakarta District Court, kompas.com reported.

After the verdict was read, Ridho refused to comment further on his drug case and his sentence. The singer of “Kerinduan” (Longing) also expressed gratitude to those who supported him during his legal ordeal.

“Thank you very much for everything. To my family, my friends, my fans and to all the people who have supported me. Thank you to the court clerk who did his job,” the son of legendary dangdut singer Rhoma said.

In addition to the jail term, Ridho has also been ordered to undergo rehabilitation at RSKO Cibubur in East Jakarta for six months and 10 days.
