epok Immigration Office in West Java will deliver residents’ passports to their homes in order to accommodate those who do not have time to obtain the document at the immigration office.

The office head Dadan Gunawan said the service was part of the collaboration between the Law and Human Rights Ministry’s Immigration Directorate General and postal firm PT Pos Indonesia that was reached in September.

“Basically, we are synergizing the immigration function […] and the document delivery service of Pos Indonesia,” Dadan said Tuesday, as quoted by kompas.com.

Dadan added that when people applied for their passport, they would be offered the option of collecting their passport in person or having it delivered to their home by post.

Dadan did not reveal the fee for the delivery service saying it was determined by Pos Indonesia. (wnd)
