View all search resultshe Jakarta administration has targeted to earn Rp 50 trillion (US$3.7 billion) in income in 2018, an increase from this year's target of Rp 41 trillion, an official has said.
"We are confident that the target can be achieved," Jakarta Tax Agency head Edi Sumantri said at City Hall in Central Jakarta on Monday, adding that the agency would optimize income-earning from land and building taxes and vehicle taxes.
He said that, currently, unpaid taxes from the aforementioned sectors reached Rp 2.2 trillion and Rp 600 billion, respectively. “A special task force will be established to pursue recalcitrant taxpayers,” Edi added as quoted by beritajakarta.id.
Previously, during a plenary meeting between city administration officials and the Legislative Council earlier this month, it was revealed that the government failed to reach half of this year's income target. (fac)
