Transjakarta will integrate four bus stops with MRT Jakarta stations.

Of the four bus stops, two are in Corridor 1, and one each in corridors 8 and 13.

Transjakarta president director Agung Wicaksono said the integration would connect the Hotel Indonesia traffic circle bus stop with the MRT station on Jl. MH Thamrin in Central Jakarta.

The Transjakarta bus stop at the traffic circle in Corridor 1 is still under construction and will be completed before March 2019.

"The bus stop is still being constructed. It will be located in the middle [of the road] and connect to the Hotel Indonesia MRT station. Passengers can transfer directly from the MRT to a Transjakarta bus, and vice versa," Agung said on Friday as reported by kompas.com.

The second bus stop to be integrated is the Tosari bus stop in Corridor 1, which will be connected to the Dukuh Atas MRT Station. The Jakarta administration had replaced the footbridge with a crosswalk to facilitate passengers crossing to the MRT station.

The third bus stop, CSW bus stop in Corridor 13, will be integrated with Sisingamangaraja MRT station.

The Lebak Bulus bus stop in Corridor 8 will also be connected to the MRT station, which Agung said was still under review.

The first phase of MRT Jakarta, spanning 15.7 kilometers and connecting Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta to the traffic circle in Central Jakarta, will begin its commercial operations in March 2019. (ars)
