The dividends represent 90 percent of the company’s Rp 18.03 trillion net profit booked last year, which is 18.6 percent lower than the Rp 22.15 trillion booked in 2017.

Telkom said in a statement that the dividends were divided into cash dividends, 60 percent, and special dividends, 30 percent, both of which will be disbursed in June 27, while the remaining 10 percent will be kept for the company.

"We decided to distribute such a big dividend because, other than fulfilling shareholder aspirations, the company’s liquidity is in fairly good shape,” said finance director Harry Zen after the shareholders meeting in Jakarta on Friday.

The shareholders meeting also agreed to reshuffle the company’s leadership. Rhenald Kasali replaced Hendri Saparini as chief commissioner, while the new commissioners are Ismail, Marcelino Pandin and independent commissioner Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo.

The new members of the board of directors are Ririek Adriansyah, president director; Achmad Sugiarto, strategic portfolio director; Edwin Aristiawan, wholesale and international services director; Edi Witijara, human capital management director; Bogi Witjaksono, enterprise and business service director; and Faizal Djoemadi, newly formed digital business director.
