ogor Regent Ade Yasin has asked the West Java administration to construct a second Puncak toll road lane to ease traffic congestion in the area, especially on weekends.

Ade delivered her request to West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil during a meeting involving all regional administrations in the province in Kuningan regency, West Java, on Thursday.

“I have formally submitted the proposal to the governor,” said Ade as reported by tempo.co on Thursday.

According to her, the existing Puncak toll road lane can no longer accommodate the excess amount of vehicles.

An additional lane would accommodate cars traveling from Bogor regency heading to Cianjur.

Bogor regency has also prepared land donated by locals and investors to support the plan.

However, the budget for the project requires a hefty Rp 1.25 trillion (US$ 88.77 million), which is largely the reason why Ade has asked for help from the provincial administration.

Ade made additional requests and reported other issues concerning Bogor regency.

The regency had asked that the Atang Sanjaya Airport runway be commercialized and a solution for the problematic Parung Panjang mining road.

Ade also asked that the governor design a mosque to be built near Pakansari Stadium.

In addition, Ade reported water shortages throughout the regency, 95 bridges that needed to be revamped and 84 congestion points that needed to be fragmented. (bry)
