A new bus route, 13F, began operations Saturday, helping passengers travel between Puri Beta in Tangerang, Banten, and Kampung Melayu in East Jakarta.
esidents of Puri Beta in Ciledug, Tangerang, Banten, now have a more convenient public transportation option as Transjakarta has officially launched a new route, adding to its expanding bus rapid transit system.
The bus service, using the route number 13F, began operations Saturday, serving the route of Puri Beta-Kampung Melayu, East Jakarta.
“The new route served by Metrotrans buses is expected to help people in the area conduct their activities,” Transjakarta spokesman Wibowo said on Tuesday.
Wibowo also expressed hope that the new route would encourage motorists to switch to public transportation.
The bus service is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
The Puri Beta-Kampung Melayu route stops at several bus stations, including Adam Malik, Kebayoran Lama, Cawang Station and Bidara Cina. (das/afr)
