MNC Group to broadcast 2019 Philippines’ SEA Games

MNC Group, the official Indonesian broadcaster of the 30th SEA Games that will run from Nov. 30 to Sept. 11, will provide coverage of 11 sports, including aquatics diving, athletics, badminton, soccer and e-sports.

ndonesian media giant MNC Group is set to cover the upcoming 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, which will be held in the Philippines.

MNC Group, the official Indonesian broadcaster of the 30th SEA Games that will run from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11, will provide coverage of 11 sports, including aquatics diving, athletics, badminton, soccer and e-sports.

“[Being the official broadcaster] shows that we, the MNC Group, always support the development of Indonesian sports […]. I hope that our athletes can do their best and make Indonesia proud,” CEO Hary Tanoesoedibjo said in Jakarta on Monday.

MNC Group’s coverage of the SEA Games will be available on its television stations, including RCTI, MNCTV, GTV and iNews, as well as its digital platforms – RCTI+, metube and Roof. Coverage will also be available on the group’s other channels such as okezone.com, sindonews.com, inews.id, Koran Sindo daily newspaper, MNC Trijaya radio station, Global Radio, V Radio and Radio RDI.

The 2019 games will feature a total of 56 sports and 8,000 athletes.

MNC Group holds the broadcasting rights until the 2021 games, which will be held in Vietnam.

Indonesia has participated in the biennial multisport event since 1977, finishing as the overall champion 10 times. The last time Indonesia won was in 2011 when it hosted the games in Jakarta and Palembang, South Sumatra.
